The Dartmoor Railway runs from Mid-Devon to the edge of Dartmoor, providing car free access to the Dartmoor National Park for walkers and cyclists.
Walking from Meldon station you can gain access to the Dartmoor National Park or simply stroll to Meldon Viaduct to take in the views of Yes Tor and High Willhays and Cyclists will be able to continue their journey on Route 27 of the National Cycle Network.
Passenger train services will resume again between Okehampton and Meldon at Easter, however, the buffet is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the West Country model shop is open as normal.

UPDATE: As of January 2021 the railway is closed but we hope it will open as soon as restrictions are lifted. There are plans to run a service between Okehampton and Exeter which will offer a great journey for locals and visitors to the area. Read the Devon Live article by clicking here.
